Wedding Packet

Guidelines and Policies

  • INSURANCE & SECURITY

    Insurance Requirement:
    All events are required to carry $1,000,000 liability insurance. This can be purchased from Farmers Union Insurance (estimated cost: $100-200).

    Security Requirement:
    Security is required at all events and is not included in the venue pricing.

  • DEPOSIT & FINAL PAYMENT

    Deposit:
    To confirm your venue reservation, a nonrefundable deposit of 50% of the total price is required 8 months prior to your event, along with a signed contract for your selected wedding package.

    Final Payment:
    100% of the final payment must be received two weeks prior to the event. In the event of overpayment, we will process a refund for the difference.

  • MENU & GUEST COUNT

    Final Menu:
    Your final menu must be submitted 6 weeks prior to the event to ensure availability.

    Guaranteed Guest Count:
    A guaranteed number of guests must be provided 2 weeks before the event, and this number cannot be reduced.

  • CANCELLATIONS & RESCHEDULING

    Cancellation:
    If you cancel your wedding within 12 months of the original date, your deposit is nonrefundable. Rescheduling may be allowed within a 12-month window.

    Rescheduling:
    Rescheduling is allowed within the 12-month window.

  • ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

    LODGING AT WOODLAND RESORT

    Availability:
    Lodging is available on a first-come, first-served basis, so we recommend making reservations up to a year in advance to secure the best options.

    CHRISTIAN CEREMONIES

    St. Olaf Retreat Center: Christian ceremonies are available at St. Olaf Retreat Center, a beautiful lakeside Lutheran church located just 1/2 mile from the venue. Please call for more information and availability.

  • OUTSIDE FOOD & BEVERAGE

    Policy Overview:
    Outside food and beverages are prohibited, with specific allowances made for wedding cakes, and dietary-specific items unavailable at the venue.
